Zebra Snail (Neritina natalnesis)
Zebra Snail (Neritina natalnesis)
Commonly traded as Zebra nerite, this coastal snail is known for its ferocious algae appetite.
Neritina natalnesis are much more active than other neritina snails, with the tendency to climb up and out of tanks at any given chance.
Found normally with an assortment of different zebra patterns, some with more thin stripes while some display broad stripes.
Although neritina require brackish to salt water transition for their eggs, they tend to still lay loose egg casings throughout the aquarium they are placed in.
These egg cases do not hatch in fresh and do not affect the water quality as the size of eggs are too small to effect your bioload.
