Spotted Congo puffer (Tetraodon Schoutedeni) (WC) Adult
Spotted Congo puffer (Tetraodon Schoutedeni) (WC) Adult
Congos smallest puffer, the Tetraodon Schoutedni puffer is a easy to care for puffer.
Preferably in single puffer per 30G (smaller is possible, however requires more dedicated water change + prior knowledge of small tanks with high bioload).
They are able to be kept in species only tanks, however must be in groups of 6 minimum.
Like tetras, they require a larger count of same species fish to disperse the aggression.
In Germany, they are horticultured by advanced hobbyist with a knack for dedicated breeding.
Currently eating Blood worms, planning on converting them to a dry diet of vibra bites and food sticks/jumbo sticks.
Tank Parameters Required:
pH – 6.5-7.5
gH – 4-8
kH – 2-3
TDS – 100-300 (not too important in this case)
Temperature – 25-26C or 77 – 78F
*Note: Aim for a No3 reading of below 15-20ppm , NH3/NH4 reading of 0ppm
